Drainage Geonets

Advanced Drainage System
Drainage geonet is a new type of dewatering geotechnical material, which is designed to complement or replace sand, stone and gravel. It’s a primary solution for waste disposal and civil engineering where hydraulic flow capacity is requested.

Composite Drainage Geonets
Used as a drainage layer to provide drainage, filtration, separation and protection.
G-Net® CM series are composite drainage geonets consist of bi-planar or tri-planar geonets heat-bonded with nonwoven needle punched geotextile on one side or both sides. The integrated core and fabric system optimizes drainage channel consistency, minimizes soil particle intrusion for maximum flow capacity, allows water to freely enter the drainage channel. It has the property of geotextile (filtration function) and geonet (drainage) and remain the certain thickness.

Applications

  • Landfills
  • Roads
  • Retaining wall

Features

  • High tensile strength
  • Long time stable water conductivity
Bi-planar Drainage Geonets
Designed for in-plane flows over large surface areas.
G-Net® Bi-planar series are bi-planar drainage geonets made with two sets of diagonally crossed parallel HDPE ribs intersecting at different angles and spacing. This unique strand structure provides superior compressive creep resistance and ensures continuous drainage performance over a wide range of conditions and long durations.

Applications

  • Landfill leachate collection
  • Foundation wall drainage
  • Methane gas collection
  • Pavement and roadway drainage

Features

  • Excellent drainage performance
  • Resistant to chemical and biological agents
Tri-planar Drainage Geonets
Higher transmissivity and higher compressive than bi-planar products.
G-Net® Tri-planar series are tri-planar geonets are made with two sets of parallel HDPE ribs separated by a central rib layer. This structure allows for channelized flow and higher drainage performance. The central ribs are designed to offer higher compressive strengths in challenging applications.

Applications

  • Landfills
  • Roads
  • Tunnels
  • Steep Slope

Features

  • High transmissivity
  • High compressive strength
Used in
01 Earthwork Construction
Steep slope, retaining wall, embankment
02 Road Works
Road, railway, highway, pavement, airport runway, tunnel, bridge
03 Environmental Engineering
Landfill, tailing, waste water treatment

G-Net® drainage geonets are a perfect synthetic drainage materials made from the excellent high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin, which are designed to transmit fluids and gasses uniformly under various field conditions. The heavier and thicker strands provide high compressive strength and excellent transmissivity.

G-Net® drainage geonets are high resistance to UV, chemically stable and appropriate for using in rigorous environmental conditions. In double-lined containment applications, G-Net® drainage geonets are commonly used to create an interstitial space between two geomembrane liners as part of a leak detection system.

GeoTrans Technology provides the bi-planar geonets, tri-planar geonets and the composite drainage geonets.

Frequently Asked Questions

1.What is the geonet?
Drainage geonets are a perfect synthetic drainage materials made from the excellent high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin, which are designed to transmit fluids and gasses uniformly under various field conditions. The heavier and thicker strands provide high compressive strength and excellent transmissivity.
2.What are the different types of geonet?
There are three types of geonet, Bi-planar Geonet, Tri-planar Geonet and Geonet-Geotextile Composites.
3.What are the benefits of geonet?
Drainage geonets are high flow rate, high resistance to UV, excellent chemically stability, long service life span, easy for construction, very appropriate for using in rigorous environmental conditions.
4.What are the uses of geonet?
Geonets are commonly used for foundation walls drainage, landfills leachate collection, methane gas collection, pond leak detection, banks and slopes erosion control, pavement and roadway drainage, and other subsurface drainage system.
